In March I visited India for the first time with a group of teenagers. We all spent a week in Delhi and made a day trip to Agra. The kids spent their time volunteering at a school and I spent too much of my time nursing them back to health and making a million phone calls. Delhi belly found us and it wasn’t pretty. Illnesses aside, we managed a few great days of sightseeing. We also got to experience the festival of color, Holi, but I’ll save that for another post.
Delhi is a city of madness. It’s an assault on all senses. It is beautiful, ugly, heartbreaking and inspiring. It is a city full of men. Or at least, it appears that way on the outside.
